MEDFORD, Ore. --The Medford Fire Rescue will send out another team for an annual fundraising event.
Seattle will host the stair climbing event this year which raises funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Last year saw almost $1.5 million raised for the society.
Medford Fire Rescue said it's proud to be a part of such a cause, which will be on March 9th.
“It's tough going up 69 floors with full equipment and everything, but not as tough as families dealing with leukemia and cancer, but it’s all worth it,” Medford Firefighter, Jon Peterson, said.
Medford Fire Rescue firefighters will hold a fundraiser for the event at Food 4 Less in Medford on Saturday, February 1st between 11am and 3pm.
